About the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME
Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME has been running in English since 2002, which makes it one of the longest continuously supported card games in the world. Duelists build a 40 to 60 card Main Deck plus a separate Extra Deck of Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Link monsters, and the game is known for fast, combo-heavy turns rather than slow board-building.
That long history is the reason our singles catalogue is so deep. A card printed in 2004 may still be legal and playable today, and reprints mean the same card can exist at a dozen different rarities and price points.
Understanding Yu-Gi-Oh! Products
Core booster sets are the main releases, arriving several times a year. A sealed booster box gives you the set's commons and rares in depth, which is what actually matters for building decks.
1st Edition vs Unlimited is the distinction worth understanding before you buy. The first print run carries a "1st Edition" marking on every card; once that run sells through, Konami reprints the set as Unlimited with no marking. 1st Edition cards generally carry a premium on the secondary market, so check which one a listing is before comparing prices.
Structure Decks are preconstructed and playable out of the box — the cheapest way to start, and often a cheap source of specific staple cards.
Tins and special collections bundle promo cards with packs, and tend to have short print windows.
Singles or Sealed?
If you are building a specific deck, singles are almost always cheaper than opening packs to chase them. Our singles index is organised by set so you can find a card by its set code rather than scrolling a list.
If you are opening for fun, collecting a set, or want the experience of cracking packs, sealed boxes are the better buy. Stock rotates — older sealed boxes get harder to find as print runs end.
